...get mice in your car.

Lucia spent a portion of her life parked in a barn in the Arizona countryside just before I bought her. When I first got her I kept finding little pieces of tissue and other paper on the floor after driving her. When I finally got around to stripping out the interior and cleaning her all up under the dash I found a massive mouse nest inside the heater box and thousands of mouse droppings everywhere.

I thought that I had all that cleaned up but once in a while I was still getting more of those little paper scraps on the floor after driving her. This has been almost exclusively on the passenger side floor and it was driving me crazy as to where it was coming from.

Today I'm working in the passenger-side footwell to install the Megasquirt ECU behind the right-side speaker. When I removed the metal piece that the speaker mounts on I found a bunch more nest material. I knew I had cleaned that all out before so a bit more investigation revealed yet another nest way down inside the body cavities behind the speaker.

Maybe I'll eventually get it all.

Mice. I liked that one D.J. ! Unbeknownest to me I had mice in my
basement garage approx. 2 yrs. ago stealing my Niger thistle seed
[for my finch feeders]. A seed bag in my basement. My 1ST exhaust
install [center section] was an ANSA "hockey stick" from Bruce, sat
over the Winter w/o the resonator connected. Last Spring [I think] I
started the Zagato up. The Zag coughed for a bit then fired up. When
I walked around the back of the car there must have been @ least 3
cups of thistle seeds + two expired mouse carcass' all over my garage
floor that had blown out of the exhaust. Yeah, I got mice too!

You guys need to get a femal cat! I'm never without one and NEVER had a mouse problem, even when I drag them home in cars! my best buddy female cat that hangs with me everywhere, including the garage, keeps us mouseless, she does always leave the stomachs behind, but thats all that's left to pick up when she's done, they never last long enough to make a nest! he he he

Now if birds are your problem, get a male cat, they are great birders, but I have never had a male cat that was a good mouser, don't know why, but females go absolutely crazy at the mear sound or smell of a mouse, males will watch and even sometimes help them make the nests! I have had cats all my life, male and female, only females are good hunters, males only drag easy prey home and never eat their catch, you have to pick it up, lazy bastards anyway! LOL and always make sure you get them fixed as soon as the vet will or they will spray to mark their teritorry, and that stink, you can't EVER get out! it has to wear off. Other than that, they are very clean animals and never stink up your house like a dog does, all it takes for a dog to smell putrid and stink up your furniture and home is one trip outside to pee
