OK. I just replaced the bezel that houses the clock, and vent controls. WOW! What a pain in the _ _ _! Who engineered these cars anyways? I thought that maybe it would take an hour or so,but three and a half? Yikes!!!

Anyways, My working clock doesn't work no more. What I mean is that it was working fine before I took the console apart, and now it just illuminates. Did I miss something? There are two connections, right?
Is it possable that it just quit working? I'd like to think not. It ran fast anyway, but it was a working clock (spoken like Kramer).

Any help as to solve this mystery for this canuck would certainly be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Allan

According to the wiring diagram there are three connections.

a "R" (red) wire
a "BN" wire (white wire with black stripes)
a "GR" wire. This isn't in the legend but I assume it means yellow wire with red stripes based on the other codes.

exactly right:
R = rosso (red)
BN = bianco-nero (white w/black)
GR = giallo-rosso (yellow w/red)

exactly right:
R = rosso (red)
BN = bianco-nero (white w/black)
GR = giallo-rosso (yellow w/red)

also:
V = verde (green)
M = marrone (brown)

Thanks, Ed.

It would really be helpful if they actually included all the codes in the legend. It would also be helpful if the color code didn't change on wires as they traverse the loom. That GR wire becomes a GN wire then goes back to a GR wire again. :confused:

Got the clock working! I guess I forgot to connect the red wire:red face:. Thanks for your help boys! Allan

PS. One thing I like about these Italian cars is not only the fun to fix them, but I also get a yoga workout too!:cheers:

Do you have a wiring diagram, Allan?

If not you can get an electronic version here (http://www.lancisti.net/index.php?ind=downloads&op=entry_view&iden=1).

Bravo!

DJ, the earlier wiring diagrams were easier--the colors were spelled out. Still in Italian, but no mysteries whatsoever (assuming you know your color names in Italian, of course): blu-nero, marrone. grigio-rosso, et cetera...

This method was used as late as the Fulvia '3' and the Strato's (yes, I've got the manual with an electrical diagram for the Strato's, in case anyone needs a scan. LOL...)

Yes, please! I'd love to have a scan of any such documents you have for the downloads area.

Any? Aside from the uso e manutenzione for the Strato's, I have the manual or supplement for every Fulvia Coupè variant made--I even have the supplement for the Safari version of the Fulvia '3'. All but 2 of them are in Italian, though.

It'll take a while to scan all of them. What's the best format/file size, and how do I upload them? (or should I just e-mail them to you?)

Yes, ANY! I'd someday like to have a library that covers every model ever made. I already have several manuals and tech documents, mostly from newer models but I also have an Appia manual that I want to scan and make available.

Italian or even other text is fine as far as I'm concerned.

I certainly understand how much work it is to do all this scanning and I haven't found the time to do all of mine yet. A bit at a time would eventually get us there, though.

PDF format is best. You should be able to upload files as large as 30 megabytes by clicking the "Add File" link at the top right in the downloads section. If necessary you could just send files or even sections of files to me and I can reassemble and upload.
