Anyone advise which ARP bolt will work when rebuilding stock rods. My 1.8 was tired already w/a sucked-in air cleaner bolt to finish it off, and that is how I bought my 77 Scorpion. Now have a 2L Beta block w/ the ear cut down and found a set of 85mm mondials in California and some std Clevites and Federal Moguls in Texas for my rebuild. As the ARP catalog does not list Fiat etc does anyone know what bolt will work?. Although the 2L looked like it had never been apart I do not know what kind of abuse it had prior to me glomming onto it. Plan in shot peening and polishing the rods etc. I see GC advises that stock Fiat was typically within 3 grams on factory balance but I don't know how close these 1mm OS mondials will end up so I plan on balancing everything anyway after I'm done redoing the rods. I am not familar w/ interchangability on this stuff as I'm used to my domestic big block bad habits.

FYI to all. After getting off the horn w/ ARP they educated me in that the part # for their just issued, not even in the catalogs yet 2000 series rod bolts will be 275-6001. Ended up going thru Summit at about $86 including shipping.

How embarassing, updating my misinformation. Got the ARP rod bolts delivered and found that they are a 2000 series capscrew style bolts for an Integrale engine so they will not work in the older connecting rods w/ bolts and nuts. Back to square one...Called ARP and they said I could send them one of the stock rod bolts and they would take a look at it to see if matches any of their current production. Not going to hold my breath on that.
