Hello everyone. I'm new to this site. I have been involved with Fiats for over twenty years and it's time I cleaned out some of my extra parts. I have some 124/1800cc parts some of you might be interested in. Let me know if I might be of some help.

You may want to post any parts you have for sale in the Classifieds section. Pictures always help to sell, too.

Cheers,

Thanks for the advice DJ. I have seen some of Bruce's stuff before but it seems he has some new rims in now. I will post picks of the spares I have once I have sorted them all out and decided what I'll keep. One thing I have too many of is cam housings. Do you know if a 2lt '79 block will bolt up directly to the scorpion? It's out of a '79 spirder 2000. And would I have to use the rear mounted distribuator, or is there enough clearence to run the vertical mounted type? Great car you have there by the way.

Thanks for the kind words.

A FIAT Spider block (1.8 and 2L) will bolt directly into the Scorpion with no mods required other than to swap the oil pan and oil pump pickup and drill and tap the hole for the dipstick tube gland nut (easy).

A FIAT exhaust-side distributor can be used but it will bump the stanchion for the tire holder. The stanchion needs to be removed or moved to use this type of dizzy. IMO, better to just use the Scorpion cam box and distributor or source a different box (e.g. Montecarlo) without the Scorpion cam-end configuration.

There is sufficient clearance to run a cam-end (horizontal) distributor on the exhaust side. I run a Bosch unit from a Strada that I bought new from Bruce. It's a Bosch unit and much more durable than the Marelli used on Betas. You can also run it on the intake side using the Scorpion cam box by sourcing a Delta Turbo HF base adapter from one of our friends in the UK or Europe or by making up your own adapter.
