No association whatsoever with the seller, just thought I'd post it here in case someone is interested.

Tim,
Thanks for the post. These are fantastic little cars; an ALC member had one on the lawn at Pebble Beach a couple months ago.
The eBay description is just a bit odd; "Styled like its Aurelia B10 big brother, Lancia's new Appia arrived in 1953" has to do with the Appia berlina--not the Zagato-designed versions.

Hi Ed,
You are very welcome. From time to time I try to keep an eye out for Lancia cars and items on the internet that may be of interest to fellow Lancisti here.
At any rate the auction description is a bit off as you pointed out and the seller does not a appear to be a Lancia expert. However this particular Appia seems to be a nice example. There is (or was recently) also another example of an Appia GTE Zagato for sale in Hemmings as well.
Indeed these Zagato bodied Appias are really a gem of a little car IMHO. Moreover as an investment comparison they have steadily increased in value since the beginning of the decade. To date this is quite unlike the performance of my stock market investments! ;)
Best regards,
Tim
