a single DCNF manifold for a Lancia Beta?? I suspect not but one can never tell. I have the dual setup on the shelf but I might be able to get almost as much out of a single and still have some decent mileage.

Yup. Sprint made a single DCNF manifold for the TC. I've no idea where you would find one, though.

Good ... Now that we know one exists does anyone know about the Sprint company.. I have spent 20 minutes searching with no results. Sprint is a widely used term and I can't get a company name or lead.. I am thinking that it may be an English company. Any Brits familiar with the name??Or perhaps Austrailian??

One thing I thought I would mention is that I beleive the intake manifolds on Betas Coupes,Zagatos.and HPEs may be a bit different than one for a Scorpion or other Fiat twin cam engines.Beta Coupe,Zagato and HPE engines have like a 15 degree rearward tilt,I'm not sure about a Scorpion. But I am sure I have read somewhere that intake manifolds for say a Fiat 124 Spider would not work correctly on a Beta Coupe,Zagato,or HPE because of the engine's tilt, and if installed the carbs would simply flood or starve because the carbs mounting would not be horizontal. The manifolds for the Betas are designed to compensate for the rearward tilt so the carbs are horizontally level.I could be mistaken about this so more research on the subject may be needed.

Sorry, Jim. I should have expounded a bit. They are mostly known for their air filters and can be found at www.sprintfilter.com. You'll need an understanding of Italian, though.

It's actually a 20-degree tilt and the Scorpion has the same angle as the Beta. A manifold made for a FIAT TC would either need to be modified at the flange or have a special spacer that adjusts for the angle to make the carb level. This doesn't seem to be very difficult and several folks have done it in the past.

The DCNF carburettor is made specifically for transverse mounting so it works perfectly on the Scorpion or Beta with no fuel starvation issues.

I tried to e-mail them but the address on their web site bounced. Converting a Fiat TC could only be done on the manifold face as the studs would not be vertical if you put a spacer under the carb. Probably easier to modify a stock early Beta manifold.

Either way the holes would have to modified.
