So I went to the Italian Gathering in Dublin, Ohio yesterday, (although the Coupe tried really hard to stay home, (see stress before show thread), it was a great time, lots of high end Italian art, lots of Fiats, Alfas and two Lancias, (my Coupe and a brand new black and gold 81 Zag), a tractor, a real cool 50's open wheel racer powered by a Fiat 1100 engine with some cool race history, lots of Fiat/Lancia friends, etc.....I am sure they raised a good deal of money for the foundation

Since awards were given for first thru third as well a the favorites awards, I knew I would be getting an award for second due to default only so I wasn't getting too excited about them calling my name..........until they said I had tied for second with a Lancia Bertone X1/9.........hu?!.......come to find out, they had mistakenly put the Bertone badged X1/9's in the Lancia class, so, I guess maybe it was well enough recieved to pick up the award??????

At least I wasn't second.....in a two man race! ha ha ha

The trophy is a real nice oak framed Italian flag base stamped with the show name and date plus "Second Place" with a 1/18 scale black Lamborghini Murclelago Roadster made by Burago sitting on it

Still confused in Ohio "middle of no where cow town!" LOL

Jim, you deserved it, if they only saw it this winter!! Good to see you and John from Midwest 124. We could not stay too long my daughter was ready to go play at Grandmas house. Our goal is to make it next year!! Good job getting it there! Jerry

it is very understandable as Fiat themselves put a Lancia badge by mistake on the X1/20

A lot of Scorpions (all of the early '76 models) have a FIAT nameplate on the emissions tag. I don't know if that holds true with the S1 Montecarlos or not. Later Scorpions have a Lancia plate.

My 75 Coupe has a Fiat emissions plate also.

We haven't got an emissions tag over here.

I have an old montecarlo engine spare having "FIAT" cast into the block. Don't know if it was the cars original engine though.
