Can anyone help with info on where I can purchase a speedo cable for my 1980 Zagato Beta Spider. I reside in Australia.

Maybe Beta Boyz in the UK or Ormicron?

Chris Baxtow ex of Betacar had a few in stock in the UK. He may well still have some look for italpartman on ebay.co.uk

If your cable sheath seems intact, and just the cable itself snapped, I found a generic replacement cable kit (no sheath) from the local autoparts store worked just fine. Just cut to match, crimp the provided tip onto the cut end (the other end came already square-sectioned), and feed it into the sheath through a copious glob of grease on your fingers to coat it in grease as it goes in. BTW, I found it easier to just use a visegrip pliers to crimp on that tip, rather than the hammer-crimper die supplied with the cable kit, just applied the visegrips from the end (rather than coming at it from the side) and crimped it on as tight as possible, then rotated it 90 deg. to crimp it again crosswise.
