Anyone ever tried an aftermarket de-fogger kit? Glue on, on-stick on?
I guess if it had too many amps it'd melt the clear plastic. Just a crazy
thought.

i have wondered about this myself
The guy that details my cars just did Livia and he got the back window super clear- I am going to ask him what he used

I have seen two Meguiar's products: #18 Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Detailer; Plastix Clear Plastic Cleaner and Polish.
I gather the first is a routine-cleaning spray that lifts off dirt and dissolves residues without harming the plastic, vinyl nor sealant, whilst the second is better for more intensive rehab-oriented buffing (also suitable for plastic lenses). Bought them but never got around to trying them yet, just too damn lazy and I almost always drive around with the top down anyway! 8)

When I road motorcycles and snow mobiles, I used an anit fogging cleaning product from Bell helmet to clean my plastic face shields to keep them from fogging up. The stuff worked great, especially on snow mobiles where the problem is most notable
A rear window defogger may work fine on a Zag, but what happens to the top when you try to put it down if you have that aftermarket hunk of equipment on your back panel?
Maybe one that mounted in the trunk with ducting to small flat vents on the back panel would work

I ordered one yrs. ago ['83?] thru the [US] Lancia Parts Consortium.
Glass rear window w/filaments & gasket. Was like $650 even back
then! Shipment was confirmed after several months, 6 months later
still no window. Was either lost, broken or never shipped. I cancelled
the order, got my money back. It might have been the only one is the
USA were I to have ever gotten it. Shame . . .
