The 79 LBZ is back on the road again. The new, balanced high compression (9.8 to1 ) engine with lightened flywheel and Alquarti intake cam runs very smooth. All the leaks have been stopped but who knows for how long. I did not get the transaxle. swapped for an 81/82 like I had hoped to due to problems acquiring it. The dual DCNF's are setting on the shelf waiting for the price of gas to go down. The 34DATRA will do duty till then. The internal thermostat seems to get the engine to temperature faster and the heat tests on the head show it to be hottest at the thermostat area. The oil pressure is now at 60 to 65 pounds warm although what caused the low pressure before is still somewhat of a mystery. The RX7 seats I installed during the down time are really comfortable. About the only things left to do are to re- charge the A/C and retorque the head..Oh yes and to plan a late summer trip somewhere.

What, you got Lancia withdrawals already??? you're lucky DJ even lets you on here anymore! ;) (J/K!)

Congratulations, Jim!

I'll bet Allen wishes HE had a running Lancia!! Well, I might fall into that category too, back down for cooling system rework. :(

P.S., brother loaned me a lap top to get by till we pick up a replacement comp so I am getting my emails again.........for now anyway
