I've been seriouly thinking about getting a Beta Coupe. I'm 6' tall and I'm wondering if that might be too small of a model for me to around drive comfortably. I'd be interested in hearing the experiences of taller drivers in Betas.

I'm 5"-11" and never had a problem fitting into any of the three I had. The sunroof cuts down the headroom a little, but I never had any problem with it. If you're disproportionately tall from the waist up or if you're particularly wide of girth, there might be an issue, but otherwise it should work fine. They're great cars; I loved mine.

I'm 6'1" and have driven the car with a helmet. The helmet hits the top of the sunroof model car but in the heat of driving I didn't notice. At 6' you will always feel big in Italian cars, look big too in photos, but no matter. The cars are great drivers.

Thanks guys, my main concern would be having my legs pinned by the bottom of the dash.

Between the adjustable steering column rake and the traditional italian short body long legs driving position its pretty unlikely youll have a problem :)

Im 6'1 and fit in with no problems at all.

That was never a problem for me either.

I'm 6'-2 with a 32" inseam and have an "un-bendable" spine, (it's fused and rodded up with titanium rods), I'm ok in my 81 Coupe with sun roof. You have to take on a slight slouch driving style but my legs do not hit the dash or anything, unlike in my old 86 Bertone X1/9 where my thigh is pinned between the radio console and steering wheel and I can only steer using the upper half of the wheel. The leg room isn't real bad although short, you get used to a different seating/slouching and leg position style driving. When your comfortable with the legs and have the seat rolled back enough to not bump yor head on the sun roof, you will typically have to reach for the steering wheel and shifter a bit, but it's all stuff you get used to and find a comfy position. They are Italian after all and most Italian cars I have driven require a much different driving posture than the American, Brittish, German or Asian cars I have driven.

The seat can be made to go back further too, (usually about the first thing I do when I pick up another Beta), as they have a back seat passenger leg room stop on the tracks, and they have at least two more lock positions past that. All you have to do is take a hammer and punch, or flat blade screw driver, and tap down the stop tab in the track at the back and make sure the square stop plate, (which is what the tab is attached to), is straight in the track so the rail can pass it and you will get lots more leg room. That does however, eliminate the use of the rear seat behind you for anything but decoration or small beer cooler hauling

My worst problem is headroom making me have to slouch a bit to keep off the rear frame of the sun roof and when my hair is at or past due for a cut, it rubs the headliner and tends to bug me a little bit......so I keep my hair short in driving months just for that reason! LOL
