Blown engine

Have stripped off the head and exhaust so am attaching pictures taken today.
Comments appreciated.

Hi Tom - Nice hole you got there!! Do you have a spare oil filter housing/alternator mounting from that engine? I am in need! ;o)

Nice collection of carbon- I take it that's a scale line and not a crack across the #1 slug?

There is a crack there!
Well spotted. Had just taken the head off and then took pictures. All being well will get time to do more today.
