I have heard of sticking the Alfa V6 2.5/3.0lt motor in the Monte/Scorpion. Has anyone else heard or done this? Do they use the Alfa manual transmission and have custom halfshafts done? I'm trying to decide whether to attempt this or stick with a modified 2.0lt motor. Thanks, MGH

I'm working on a new 4 headlamp conversion which will be cheaper and easier to fit than the current 4 headlamp conversion.

I've got photos of this- it fits. You use an X-1/9 shaft on the long side, I think.
Lots of mount fabrication, etc- and you need to lose about 3/4" out of the left frame rail near the strut. It's a lot easier to go Beta 2L.
I have an Alfa motor in the garage if you want pics of what one looks like out of the car, or take a look at my album on the last page of the photos section.

the current 4 headlamp conversion
Sorry if this sounds stupid but what do you mean by current conversion?
Could't find any 4 headlamp conversion at the Montehospital, was surprised by that ...
Cheers

Chad doesn't sell it - we do. A 4 headlamp conversion using Integrale headlamps... Quite expensive unfortunately.

Is that from the Evo?
I kinda like 4 'all the same' headlamp conversions as they look more 037-like.
Piccies?

Yes, they are the Evo ones as they are the only ones still available as complete units from Lancia. The headlamps are all the same, but the kit comes with new grille as well.

I think this is screaming for piccies?

Or is it on your website already?

Hello
A twin cam 2l turbo engine from the Fiat crona turbo or the Lancia integrale or thema is a great engine to have in the monte-carlo. Its easyer to fit in the engine bay and can give more power than the Alfa V6.
In my race car (Fiat Tipo) I have a 8v 2l engine from a croma and it gives 240bhp on the wheels.
Its aboute 15% more in the engine. Its a stock engine with a new turbo.
Or you can lose your mind and do as I have done on my monte-carlo.
Take a 3l ferrari V8 from a Thema 8.32 an put it in.
It fits with minor modifications.
The engin fixingpionts are ready as vell as the gearbox and driveshafts so all that is left is to fix water, fuel and the electrical system.
I think it will be ready as planned on may first. (This year)
Unless the race car take to mutch of my time.
Best regards

A Thema 8.32 engine in a Montecarlo! This is exciting. Obviously a task which is easier said than done. You must provide pictures. A close friend has a spare 8.32 engine if anyone in USA is interested in similar masochism.
Speaking of masochism, I am going forward with an Alfa Romeo 24V V6 into my Lancia. The list of items yet to be completed never shrinks. I will see about posting initial pictures here in a month or so.

Hi Paul,
Welcome! Tell us about cooling. Were you able to keep the Lancia radiator, or are you running a different radiator?
