I posted a K & N E-0773 filter will fit the stock air
cleaner housing. It does although 3/4" short. My
solution was to cut 3/4" off the end of a length of
4" thinwall PVC pipe. Thereafter cut thru the side
to allow it to expand or flex. This would not work
w/Schedule 40 pipe. Your support will flex & fit
over the bottom detente of the air filter housing.
It fits, it supports, it's cheap, it works. Just a heads
up for any curious sorts. Neatly solves the gap issue.
