After weeks of test fitment & fretting it fits. I cut the bottom of
the Monte Hospital housing to conform to the 42s top gasket
pattern. What a worrysome task that was w/my Dremel. Nervous.
Even w/full width phenolic spacers & the top gaskets my lid closes
& latches properly. That said w/o the lid bracket of course. Now
where should I drill the hole for the swirl pot/cyclonic oil pot hose
in the bottom of the housing? I'm guessing just behind where the
air hose will attatch from the filter canister hose? Thanks all.

You are correct. The breather hose should connect just forward of the intake connection. This is an interesting question because both of the TMH airboxes I've bought had a moulded-in hose connection on the bottom of the housing. One only needed to drill the center out if you wanted to connect the breather. Sounds like they don't have this anymore?

There was no breather hose connector on the one I got from TMH recently.

Scorp163: THM ships the carb covers now w/o any cut-outs
nor templates. I've covered this, it's a D.I.Y. job. One mea-
sures, cuts, saws, drills or bores VERY CAREFULLY! Having
the blanks availible is what counts. The oil swirl pot or cy-
clonic trap outlet has to go somewhere. I have completed
my cuts recently w/o templates. It's a case of measure
thrice, cut/bore once. It ain't easy but can be done, slowly.
Patience is the operative word. Good luck !

I understand, I had no problems fitting mine to the carbs. I was just confirming that they no longer include the breather fitting.

Wasn't trying to be mean spirited. D.J.'s taken me to task
about my tone. My point was assistance. TMH ships these
things as blanks. Ya just gotta "chop" them up to fit every-
thing. It's a pedestrian task. Zero fun. It can be done. Good
Luck !
