Hi, I posted this question on the consortium forum too, but wanted to know what you guys think.
I know that assisted braking on just the rear is not a good thing, but how about adding a servo to the front brakes a la 037? Any particular reasons for and against?
Cheers

I suppose you mean adding an assist to the rear.
I've heard that there was at least one individual here (Oklahoma, I think?) who did that. No other info, though.

Hi DJ,
Yes, that's exactly what I meant - be interesting to see if I hear anything else. I got a response on the consortium site with some useful info and I'll post up when it's finalised

I have a friend who installed a 124 booster/master cylinder in his Scorpion. It took a special mount in the front trunk and looked very similar to the one in my old MR2. I don't know how it works, the car isn't 'on the road' yet.
I've always thought about adding it to both circuits, it wouldn't be too hard to put a second remote booster next to the other one for the rear brakes. Better pads (EBC greens) and removing the old booster is simplier.

Better pads (from TMH in my case) and better rubber (that grips a LOT better than stuff available in the '70s) is even simpler. Removing the booster without other improvements results in less than adequate braking, IMO.
