Hi there
I am probably being very 'stupid' but I am unable to remove the adjustment handle out of the seat bottom frame. I have stripped out all the cushions, the runners, released the nut holding the handle to the frame, the collet at the rear of the handle and so, in theory, it should just slide sideways and come clear. It does not!! Have tried some gentle pressure but it seems firmly jammed in place. Any comment appreciated please.

I just had to do this job, too. This is common as they can be really tight. It will slip out with a little persuasion.

Put the nut back on to protect the threads, then give it a good whack with a hammer or (better) plastic/wooden mallet. I little lubricant sprayed in may help too. It will pop right out like this and won't hurt anything.

Speaking of the backrest recliner stalk. Flat red modeling
paint works great on those "<->" indicators. Masked &
brushed on carefully of course. My solution for the stalk
itself, shaft if you will, was 3/4" ribbed wire loom. It
fits perfectly & being seamed may be removed for cleaning.
Just an idea that might assist someone.

Thanks for advice.
I had soaked well and several times already but had not resorted to a hammer.
Will follow instructions and see how it goes!!

Tom
