A while back I had someone do an alignment on my scorpion. Now the steering is about 10 degrees off, it doesn't pull its just not centered.
I know nothing about how to adjust this, is it something I can do myself or do I have to bring it back?
Thanks,
Ed

Hi Ed,
Is it just the steering wheel that's out of alignment? If so, simply take it off and put it back on again at the right point. Or do you mean the car will turn more tightly to one side than the other? In which case, take it back and get them to do the job again.
Hope this helps!

The splines on the steering wheel hub/shaft are pretty coarse and moving it one position will probably be too much and will be off in the other clock position. Its tough to re-clock the steering wheel without having an alignment rack as you can mess up the toe-in settings. Take it back and have it corrected to your satisfaction.

It was centered before I had the alignment, so unless they took the wheel off and put it back on in the wrong position, the alignment must be off. It doesn't pull, it is just not straight when the car is going straight.. Meaning I can drive down the road without any drift or anything and the wheel is about 10 degrees off..

That's just a sloppy job. They can center the wheel without removing it and moving it on the splines. I agree with Mac that they owe you satisfaction.
I have the same problem in that my wheel is slightly off after my alignment but I will be installing a new steering rack and tie-rod ends soon so I'll need another alignment anyway.

DJ -
We had the alignment machine tech out last week and made some corrections/improvements and re-calibrated the system so it should be spot on now - so when you're ready give me a call. Just did the boss's GTO and its perfect. Getting wheels exactly straight on our roads can be a challenge. Mine is straight on about 1/3 of the roads due to crown. On really flat roads it's slightly off. Just lazy to re-do it.
