To follow on to my post in the Beta forum about Scorpion/Beta water pumps, I just received another couple pieces of near-unobtainium the other day from Vick Autosports.
Several months ago when I needed to refurb the rear calipers on my Scorpion I had heard a rumor that Vick's had a few sets of new ones on hand. Unfortunately, I called too late and they weren't expecting any more for some time. Csaba asked if I wanted to be notified if they got more in stock and I indicated that I did.
In the mean time I actually had a full set of new seals and rubber covers so I went ahead and rebuilt my original calipers. This was not the easiest of tasks because of the way the parking brake mechanism goes together.
Well, several days ago Csaba called and said they had more new calipers in stock so I ordered a set. Brand new 38 mm piston Scorpion/Montecarlo rear calipers!!!
If you're lucky, they might still have a set for you... ;)
