Welcome to the forum; I only noticed you'd posted in the FLavia forum after I sent this reply:

The 2C looks great; you might check out Brian Hilton's 2C posts (also from the UK).

Hello, I'm Brian Hilton from the Uk, not too far away from yourself as I'm in Bedfordshire, I see Ed Levin mentioned that I have a 2c and suggested having a look at my postings and photos.

Very nice photos of your 2c, what is it's colour?

I have a 1965 2c RHD first registered 1/1/1966, Colour is Doncaster Grey with a Red interior.
Looks like you also own a Series 2 Berlina as your 3rd photo threw me for a second or two!

Are you a member of the LMC? it would be nice to chat to someone else with a 2c as it gets a bit lonely being the only 2c that shows up almost anywhere; there is another 2c in the Club which belongs to Lee Proudfoot, before him it belonged Peter Baker who took part in the Historic Monte Carlo in it a couple of years ago, before that the last person to run it was Cessari Ferrari who fitted a 1298cc engine after he blew a piston; prior to that it belonged to Michael Newbury who back in the 1990's had quite a collection of Lancia's, and in fact seeing his 2c for the first time was what got me into 2c's.

At the time Robin Lacey also had a lovely 2c which he let me drive, this deteriorated badly while Robin was restoring a Dilambda and eventually he sold it, by which time it was pretty rough.
Funny enough it suddenly turned up near me for a very short time about 3 years ago, and it was around this time it also had a 1298cc engine fitted due to piston problems; this car is now in Northern Ireland and has been completely restored again but it still has the 1298cc engine.

I found mine in 1997 after it had been off the road since 1976, with one previous owner and it only had 28,000 miles on the clock, it took 2 years to get it back on the road, mainly due to broken promises by the Lancia Specialist in Norfolk (Not Omicron) who's failure to keep to his promises led to an awful lot of frustration before I got her back on the road in November 1999.
On the way home I gave our new Ypsilon Elefantino Rosso which my wife was driving, a nice coating of oil film, soon after getting home the engine was stripped, and it turned out that a piston ring had broken and scored a bore, so I had to have her rebored with new pistons, the rebore was arranged by Omicron who supplied the oversize pistons, Bob Brain Developments at Monmouth, did a complete engine rebuild which was kept to the original size of 1091cc, BBD also carried out other jobs until I moved to where we are now.
In 2004 with a friend navigating I drove her to Portugal and back, 3500 miles in 10 days of driving, including crossing the Pyrenees to a Lancia Meeting. our only problem was 1 puncture in Portugal.
We also unwittingly stayed in a Bordello at Santiago Compostelo on that trip, but that's another story:surprised:.
In 2006 along with friends in a Monte Carlo, A Fulvia Zagato & a Appia Zagato we went to Turin; going down we went on the overnight train with our Lancia's to Nice, then with a couple of nights stop off in a Hotel on the way, we drove to Turin for the 100th Anniversary of Lancia, after a week of events we drove to Asti to see friends where we stayed a couple of days;
From Asti we came via Pinarola & over the Alps to Grenoble then up through France into Belgium (To visit my Grandfathers Grave) then to Boulogne and home, about another 2000 miles. Another puncture on the M25 on the way home was the only problem again! it was the same wheel but not the same tyre.

During the 9 years she has been back on the road we have attended many events including Classics on the Common at Harpenden, Autoitalia days at Brooklands & Stanford Hall, Goodwood Revival meetings and was displayed outside Goodwood House at Members day about 3 years ago, she was also on show at the Flavia 50th at Covent Garden and again in 2006 at the Lancia 100 also at Covent Garden.

During November 2008 she was on display on the Lancia Motor Club Stand at the Classic Car Show,NEC Birmingham.

She has now covered about 44,000 miles and during the last 9 years I've carried out progressive restoration when I've found new parts, or when something needed doing.

Modifications have been limited , Fitting Dellorto 32 DHLA Carbs instead of the Solexs (keeps in tune better and is smoother) Electronic point switching, a Filter King pressure regulator and filter, fitted foglamps, and a steering lock.

In all this time I should think the number of times I've seen another 2c (except on the Continent) could be counted on my fingers.
