Try as I may/might I can't get it out to renew the fuzzy strips.
I have EVERYTHING out of the way! All it does is get cocked,
hung, cattie-wompus & I fear scratching the damn thing. Mother
f-er is too curved to withdraw. My LBZ windows, although not
easy, were alot more straightforward than this nightmare . And
NO I don't have that mythical bottom door slot allowing one to
angle the glass up & out. Either hammer or Sawz-All time a
comin' .

Darn, David! Are you sure you have a SCORPION? :D

See attached picture for how it is supposed to come out.

I have about 80 pictures of the whole process that I can upload later if you want.

Thanks DJ, I suspected it might come out thru that slot.
Gonna pull the lock/handle rods & try again today .

Hey there,
You don't need to remove the glass to change the fuzzy strips! Actually, you need to take the fuzzy strips out to remove the glass! I know because I have replaced the strips with a new set from the Montehospital. Spray the tracks and the strips with silicone spray before you start and they will slide in quite well. A little patience will have them fitting fairly easily. If you are taking the glass out, you will need to remove the metal strip / slot attached to the lower edge of the glass. Not an easy job, but patience will get you there. Also check that the tracks aren't misaligned, as any drag will cause the already slow electric windows to go even slower!

David,
If you have removed the fuzzy strips and it still isn't coming out through the slot in the door, then it will be the channel at the base clashing with the bottom section of the door, i.e. as the door doesn't have the slot cut in it.
In my case I removed the glass from the channel at the base of the glass whilst it was in the door (not an easy exercise), and after that it was smooth sailing to lift the glass out.
This gives the glass an extra inch or two to lower further into the door so that the top clears the opening cut into the door itself.
I hope this makes sense and good luck.
Regards,
Vinnie.

I don't know what I was doing wrong but I finally got
the glass out thru door slot. New strips are a big im-
provement. Glass still moves slow, is aligned properly,
motors seemed fine. Guess is as good as it can be .
Might squirt some Mother's in the channel. Thanks all.

If you have a set of photographs showing the steps required in removing the glass would be of great help to the less experienced of us please!

Doing this right now, gotta tell you pictures will not give you
the whole story. I completed the passengers side yesterday,
drivers side take-down today. I could type & type & type a
walk thru but it's really a matter of patience, care & persistence.
Hey it's a Lancia! D.J. said he had pics, they may help @ certain
stages. Sorry not much help. Not unlike many repairs unless
someone who has done it before is looking over your shoulder,
well a typewritten explanation just isn't thorough enough.
D.J.'s pictures may give you a leg up. Keep @ it. It's doable.

Davidb,
Appreciate your comments. They are very true. However I do believe a picture tells a thousand words. Regards.
