lol, it looks like someone went mad and bought all of the available stick on 'accessories' and then simply threw them at the car. Where do you start - I could spend hours!! Turbo'd? And the 'vents' do what exactly????

I was gonna post when I saw this initially but how pathetic .
$6K reserve ? This a re-dux of Jim's Chicago LBZ which had
a reserve of what, $5K ? And he says new engine/interior ?
Who on God's Green Earth would believe that w/all the crap
stuck to the exterior of that car. Sad, sad, sad . . .

That's all I can say.... No wait, I think I have some more...
I certain hope all of those 'accessories' are mounted with magnetic strips... Did I read the description right that the interior is 'restored' - I love the black/red seat covers that appear to be just laying on the seats... Hey, it could be a turbo - the decal SAYS it is!!

Those lovely seat covers can be found at PepBoys along with the hoodscoop, side vents and several of the stickers...
That car is close enough that if it doesn't sell, I might consider driving up on a weekend and checking it out... Poor poor car.... I wonder if it has LEDs on the wiper squirter?

I sent the seller a "general question" via E-Bay. Said $80 as opposed to
$8K sounds more like it . Couldn't resist, sorry .

Response from Guiseppe re: my offer of $80 as opposed to
Buy Now $8K: "Too bad ". What a complete moron ! Hate
to see any Scorpion crushed, we all need parts but Jesus .

Look at his other auctions. He did the same thing to an Alfa, also. Sad.

I'm definitely willing to meet his reserve on that Kelmark Dino
w/a VW engine. $7K is a steal for a car that rare ! Is this guy
braindead or what ? I started the "sad" part. Having seen this,
now it's sick, WOW !

He must have gotten a sweet deal on all of that stick on scoop/vent stuff, as well as SCCA stickers!! Wait, maybe he only has one set and swapped them between all of his cars for the photos..
Poor Alfa, Lancia, Porsche, Lotus and even DeLorean... The Chyserati TC deserves it...

"and then laugh or throw up" should be added to his description. I'm glad it says the "more exotic" add-ons are "removable if desired" (that would be a "duh!!")

You're kidding - for that monstrosity?????? It may well be rare, but I think the kindest thing to do would be to put the entire species out of its misery! There are infinitely better Dino replicas out there - reminds me of that home built x1/9 thing that was on ebay a while ago!
Spend that $7k on your Scorp dude! ;o)
Darren
- or did I miss your sarcasm mate? If so, sorry!!!;o))

Easier done than said! :)
But let's face it, all those drag enhancers are necessary to make up for the sh*tty Scorpion brakes! (I did notice it looks like a FIAT engine, or at least, FIAT head in there and a header, FWIW. I'll see David's $80 and raise $100. :)

I'll raise you Will - $120 but only if I can remove every single piece of 'exotic' crap from the car on collection, put it into a neat pile infront of mr whoever his name is, and either set fire to it, or stomp it into nothingness before handing it back to him!

Ok, I finally had to go look at these.......uh......."Things"
All I have to say is this guy is WAY isolated from reality and is hands down, the "KING" of what my dad always refered to as "Hillbilly Go Fasters" LOL
The Scorpion is in my mind, salvagable, but only if I could snag it for around the $800 range, I find them pretty easy to tak apart and put back together properly.
So far as the Delorean, well, I have a buddy 20 miles north of us in Upper Sandusky Ohio, (not to be confused with Sandusky Ohio), who has one that is actually in unmolested and truely "Mint" "needs absolutely nothing" condition with about 20K miles on it someone could have for about $20K if they wanted it, and you won't have a painted one, they are supposed to be stainless ya know!, nor any "hillbilly Go Fasters" to remove! LOL
He's got a lot of what once was "neat stuff", too bad he canabilized them all

This guy can't be for real .

I saw "the turbo" this morning before logging onto the forum. I think I threw up in my mouth a little...

I don't think you could do a job like this without the J.C. Whitney catalog. The old one, from back when the car was new.
Something tells me that there's a Winky The Cat somewhere in that car.

Good one Brian . Surprised he didn't take a close-up of the
scented paper Pine Tree hanging from the rearview mirror
bought from the Whitney catalog . "Fumigated, no extra charge".

they are supposed to be stainless ya know!,
actually, the last of the production run were painted (over the stainless). All I've seen are red. There were many complaints of the grubby looking stainless skins all covered with figerprints and this was their solution (without the 'scoops/vents')...

You are right, and you are wrong John! LOL
The factory never painted them, however, several were painted by Consolidated Industries in Columbus Ohio when they were unable to sell the remaining ones in stainless form, (those are the folks that bought up all remaing Fiats, Lancias, Yugo's and Deloreans as they either pulled out of the States or went belly up as in coke head Delorean), They offered them painted in black, canary yellow, red and I think a blue color. They did it to try and get rid of the last few remaining ones they couldn't sell hoping by painting them and taking away the maintenence the stainles requires, (which by then, had gotten a bad reputation for dulling and being very hard to keep looking nice), they would off the rest.
One of the big GM dealers down there was doing the painting, I am not surprised to hear there were complaints about the paint since I have never seen a good repaint come out of any dealership in my life!
I was living in Columbus at the time and got to see the warehouse with all the cars, ther were Deloreans running all over Columbus at the time too, there was nothing rare about seeing one back then.
There were also lots and lots of Yugo's for years when they bought all those! took them a long time to find enough suckers to off those puppies! LOL, I almost bought a new Yugo from them once for $2100 out the door, 12 month warranty, tax & title included, that's when a new Chevy Cavilier was about $10K, then got cold feet, mainly because of the cars rep and only one Volvo dealer in Columbus was authorized to do the warranty work on them

Oh my God, this guy is strange...! It has to be a wind-up, surely? I especially love the "No Reserve" BS, have you seen the starting prices? At least the Espada in the background of the Delorean seems to be unmolested. That "Dino" is a Karma, which was without doubt the worst replica ever. Had a plywood engine lid (at least the couple I've seen did have). It's all very odd...
Andrew.

I assumed they were painted before they came into this country.
