My Dedra 1.6ie has failed its MOT on too high ilde speed. I wasn't aware this was adjustable. It is the single point injection type. Anyone have any ideas?

Don't know much about these as I've only just got mine today. You could get a workshop manual for a Fiat Tipo or a Tempra. Haynes do one for the Tipo 1.4 & 1.6 and there's the FIAT approved Porter Manual which covers both the Tipo and Tempra 1.4, 1.6 and diesel versions. As I understand it most parts are interchangeable and the 1.6 lump is the same. There are a few on ebay at the moment which I'm keeping my eye on. Or Amazon sell them, but there's a long lead time on delivery from them. I would think they were available through other outlets as well, though I haven't looked into this yet.
On a different theme, the steering on mine is a bit vague. Is this normal for the 1.6 because my 2 litre is pin sharp.
Cheers

Found this today

and this

and thought they might be helpful.
The file for the manual is a bit of a mess but it's free.
