Does anyone have the equivalent paint codes for a S2 Rosso Corse Zagato.
I have the Glasurit Lancia shades book with the colour chips and formulations but my paint supplier really wants a Max Meyer code. Also I see from other sources that the correct colour would have been Lesonal 167, again any equivalents?
Thanks,
davidb

You could have looked it up on the forum .
Trunk sticker says rosso corsa 851/F .
The Max Meyer code is : 1.306.5208 .
Described as "red, slighty orange"
which sounds right to me .

Thanks Dave,
Where abouts on the forum would I find it?

Just type "paint codes" in the search field .
Look in the 2ND listing for hot-links . It
was the top listing until your post . The
search engine on our Forum is better
than alot I've seen elsewhere . ;D

Before we close this out, it occurs to me that we may not be talking about the same "S2 Zagato". davidb may be assuming that your car is a Beta Zagato (paint code on trunk sticker), but the Lesonal 167 code you mention is for a Fulvia Zagato.
Max Meyer 1.306.5208 is indeed the correct code for "rossa corsa" for S2 Fulvia coupes also, but it is not listed as such for the Fulvia Zagato. In fact the Fulvia Zagato documentation doesn't list the color as "rosso corsa"--just as "rosso (Lesonal 167)". I'm not sure that Zagato used the same color as the factory-built coupes. see: http://www.alma.it/vanzettip/fulvia/fulviae.html
If you don't think it matters much (and it may not), use the Max Meyer "rosso corsa". Otherwise, you may have to keep looking.

HF 1.6 : I assumed his request was for either an '81 or '82
Beta Zagato paint code . It's on that link . There is a
notation that Flavias or Fulvias [I forget] are a more pure
red . Was merely trying to help the guy . Christ I have 2
Betas which need a re-paint . Bodyshop will likely laugh
me back out the front door w/a Max Meyer paint code .
These cars are infinite maddness if you want them RIGHT !
I hope he finds his color . . .

davidb,
Hey, wasn't trying to be critical; sorry if it came off that way. I have no idea which forum he posted it on, but I was pretty sure that you guys were talking past each other--he was asking about a Fulvia Sport (Zagato) paint code and you were answering about a Beta Zagato. Funny thing is, as I mentioned, the "rosso corsa" paint code you quoted is the same for S2 Fulvias--except for the Zagato. I'm pretty sure the Fulvia Zagato "rosso" is actually a slightly different shade.
I know what you mean about your body shop. On the Viva-Lancia forum, I usually end up translating Lechler or Max Meyer codes to Glasurit for other Fulvia owners who get laughed at when they quote Lechler or Max Meyer to their paint shop. This one was an odd reversal.
I wish him luck, too. I just re-checked all my Fulvia sources, English and Italian--I found nothing other than that weird Lesinal code.

The color codes for the Fulvia Sport (S1 and S2 were apparently the same) can be found here:
http://www.alma.it/vanzettip/fulvia/fulviae.html
At the upper right, click on "Cars" and then "colours". But you won't find Dupont codes there, nor have I seen them anywhere else.
I have Glasurit codes, but only for about half the colors, as follows:
Argento Nevada metallizzato (silver): LAN 270
Bianco Saratoga: LAN 170
Blu Lancia: LAN 174
Rosso Palermo (dark red): LAN 209
Rosso San Siro (orange-red): LAN 212
Verde Ostenda: LAN 169
Blu Jamaica metallizzato: LAN 203
Bianco (S2 only, I think): LAN 220
From what I've seen, the most popular color may be Rosso San Siro, which was the color often used on the competizione cars. But they look great in silver and various blues, as well. As far as I know, the Sport was never offered in beige.
Hope that helps.

This link has been very helpfull except for the point about the missing reds. I am in the process of rebuilding a Fulvia zagato 1st series, Al body N° 1275, I have owned since 1975-76 - click on B+W photo taken in 1977.

The car was originally a sort of Teal blue which became over the years a Jaquar red (lotsa blue) and then a VW warm silver grey. Today we are back to bare metal and entering the final stretch... I am torn between the red below which I suspect might be the "Salmon red" we often read and hear about but no-one knows the reference for. Or I may go with the Zagato yellow ochre I've seen a couple of times. To clear up any ambiguities can someone help me with a name and color-code of this shocking pink color?

I am also looking for reasonably priced plastic fairings, optional on 1st series Sports, which I had during the late 70's before one cracked and the other, removed, was lost.
Thanks in advance for any help.

My Zagato was originally the salmon pink colour, which may well be Rosso San Siro. The car was resprayed in an anonymous red some time ago and I am now having it redone in Rosso Corsa.
Although it's been suggested that the Lesonal paint code for this is L167, I have checked with the makers Azco Nobel (UK 01235 442155) today and they say the 1970-3 Rosso Corso is LAN372. Further they say that L167 is now a 1980's red metallic.
That said, LAN372, available only in 2-pack, has been ordered but has not yet arrived....

The original ‘salmon’ color was certainly Rosso San Siro, which seems to have been the most popular color for the S2 Fulvia Sport. Rosso Corsa changed over the years; my Glasurit swatch book show no fewer than 3 different Rosso Corsa from the mid-60s to the mid-80s. In 1970, though, there was only one Rosso Corsa, Lancia’s code 050. The Glasurit code for 050 is LAN 206, and this would have applied to Zagatos as well as Coupes.
