Hi, does any one know the best wheel size and width and the best tire size and width for the Lancia (Monte Carlo) Scorpion. For fast street use.
Thank You Tom

I run 7Jx15 with 195/50 front and rear which doesn't effort any changes to the car body. Little lowering should be necessery for better looks.
7J15 with 205/50 front and 225/50 is possible too and looks even better, but then the wheel arches have to be adapted to get enough space for the tires.

That's Mike Ross' car in Sacramento, CA. I think those are 15" rims. He's a member of this forum so you should be able to contact him through through the Memberlist.

Thanks Ken,

I am thinking of putting other rims on my Monte but deciding what type is a painfull  and long process.

These Speedline imis look nice, are 15x7 with ET of 21 so should do the job.

Changing from 185/65/14 to 195/55/15 hopefully doesn't spoil the ride and handling which i like so much from my Monte.

Cheers, Pieter

Tom,

I'm runing some fairly uncommon (for a Scorpion) tire and wheel sizes on my beast. I've just upload some shots into a new album (Thanks DJ!).

http://www.lancisti.net/forum/modules.php?set_albumName=Goldie&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

The fronts are 205/40x17's and the rears are 245/35x17's.
Tires are now a set of the new Goodyear F1's and the rim size is 17" dia. and 7 1/2" wide. I am using wheel adapters for bolt pattern differences and for adaptation to the 12" Brembos I have mounted up front. The 17" was the only wheel to clear the big brakes.

The car is lowered now just a bit more than the photo in the album. I'm runing springs from the Monte Hospital. I have absolutely no clearance problems with this set up. The wheel adapters also act as spacers to give the offsets I need to avoid clearance issues.
