Well, I just bought myself another Beta. This one is also a 1981 model, also "azzurro metallizzato" in color, but it's a coupe instead of a Spider/Zagato. I bought it as a parts car, but we'll see ... seems a bit too solid to part out. Oil pressure drops into the orange zone at idle, though, and the engine seems a bit tired.

I hate to think of what my wife will say ...

But all its column switches are intact! And the interior has never been filled with water, frogs, ducks, bullrushes and other aquatic fauna!

Anyway, now I have the entire Lancia lineup for 1981.

Cheers!

p.s. Here's the Craigslist link to the car, in case anybody's curious:

All both of them. ;D

Speaking of which, I think '79 was the only year the US got the full FWD Beta range -- sedan, coupe, HPE and Zagato (Trevi aside, as we never got that one anyway). I wouldn't mind building that collection someday... 8) Plus, at least one of them should be fully driveable at any given time! :D

An HPE one might find . Nice blue one was on E-Bay
[Colorado] 'bout 2 yrs. ago but a Sedan ? Wonder if
ANYONE in this forum has one .

Particularly a '79 sedan w/ the Series 2 body -- until someone here recently pointed out one for sale on craigslist (looked pretty nice from the pics, too), I wasn't sure any '79 sedans actually made it here, as I'd only ever encountered them in the literature.

Think I saw it, creme color ? Yucko ! My '78 Sedan
was blue metallic w/saddle tan vinyl . Best combo
I ever saw for Sedans . You might be right about
'79s: I never saw one here in St. Louis back then &
we had 3, count 'em, three Lancia dealers ! Crazy .
