Here's one for the technical wizards

Just recently my road going S2 rev counter needle has got a mind of it's own.

When driving at higher rpm, say around 3000rpm it bounces between 0 and 8000.

It's less volatile at lower rpm

Any thoughts??

A loose wire/connector somewhere .. . but where exactly is anyone's guess !

I think the feed is from the ignition pack somewhere - brown/white or purple white rings a bell but I wouldn't swear on it.
