Having found a garage that claims to be able to get hold of new engine mounts and dampers, I'm about to have them replaced. Stress caused by the engine leaping around with every gearchange has caused need for a new exhaust manifold too. Any recommendations as to what to use before i arrange to get something fabricated (i've got a 1984 vx coupe with a stainless exhaust)
Cheers

If you can get hold of decent engine and gearbox mounts id go for a csc 4 into 1 manifold, otherwise I would go for the stock item with flexible pipes as if the mounts arent top notch the movement will cause solid manifolds to crack.

Chris is quite right, the CSC might take a bit of elbow grease to fit first time  but it's a worthwhile modification if all the mounts are in good nick. Worthwhile making a shield for the steering rack at this point by the way....
The alternative is being stuck with the standard system  which always seemed to blow up at the downpipe gasket on all the Betas I've had.
It's worthwhile looking around for an alternate flexi section for the exhaust regardless of what is actually in the car: ie. it will reduce the risks of breakage/stress in the long term
