Beta Steering Column Light Stalk

Noticed it being weak before . 1 of 1K things w/this '82 LBZ restore
driving me nuts . Just rotated it again, CAREFULLY & it "let go" :
now it rotates 360 . Took the column shroud off, well you know :
copper expansion rivets holding the light/blinker covers on ,
thru bolts behind the steering wheel next . Gotta be some way
to fix this short of an assembly replacement . Likely some sort
of plastic toothed ring broken . I've fixed blinkers before .
This is nuts .

I drilled those copper rivets out of mine and replaced them with self tapping screws, they work fine and I can get into it at anytime to clean the contacts, but have just wired up relays for the lights so with any luck won't have to any more.
