Hi all, I'm looking for a pair of replacement seats for my VX coupe that would offer more support than the originals but not look out of place in the car while I get the originals fixed up, I think I'll store them for a while so they don't get all tatty, any ideas.

I've also found an easy way to move the radiator and oil cooler so I can fit a DCOE and remote turbo type intake, it's pretty obvious when you look at the car, I've made up new upper attach brackets for the oil cooler and rad, tilting them both forward, also removed the upper plastic shroud to enable all this to work. Hope this helps anyone that has had the same trouble.

Hi Fingers,
Photos of your DCOE installation would be nice.

Yeah sure, I'm planning on making a start in a couple of weeks, I have about 5 weeks left on a training course, but will be doing bits an pieces on the weekends, first thing is to make up the new brackets, which will be a little trial and error I think.

Can anyone tell me why not all VX Coupes had the recaro seats, mine doesn't and I've seen others that don't have them either, was it something to do with where they were sold? I'm pretty disappointed actually.

recaro seats for beta coupe were only offered as an optional extra in almost all countries and then only for the vx, they were also not offered at all for the hpe version. In the UK we have a history of wanting high specs and Lancia in the UK specified recaros as standard, for this reason it has become ,within many english speaking enthusiasts, the belief that all vx coupes had recaros as standard. I have spoken to a very keen Beta enthusiast in Germany and he said that he had never seen a mainland european car fitted with recaros so it kind of looks like UK cars might have been near enough the only cars fitted with them. It is also worth noting that a steel sunroof is also rare in Europe but standard on UK cars.

Oh I see, makes sense really, thanks for that, mine's got the steel sunroof but I have seen others around my city (all four of them) that don't have it. Thanks
