Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I've just been out to buy some bits from a guy who has a Lotus 7 replica kit car with a Lancia 2.0l TC in it. he also had a cylinder head which he told me the valves were the opposite to the one in the kit car so it was no good to him. Can anyone tell me what this head might be from?
Thanks
Pete

Is it a 16 valve head?
All the 8v heads I know of are Left-Inlet, Right-Exhaust.
If you are saying it's an 8v, reversed flow head, then I am as interested as you as to what the origin is. It might be one of the recent 8v's that are pretty much foreign to any of us on this list, FIAT makes some odd cars that are sold in markets Italy, South America, and the mideast, most of which few of us have ever seen. For example, there's a 12v SOHC!

The kit car was on an 'X' reg plate which I think is 1981/82, which would probably have been the original registration of the donor car. I'm pretty sure it was an 8v, and I think you're right in saying that the later 8v have reverse ports, although I don't know for certain.

Hello all,
The fuel injected Deltas, Prismas, Dedras and Themas all have the exhaust ports on the "front" of the head (ie the opposite from a Beta). The equivalent FIATs are the same (Tempra and Croma). If you measure the valve heads or can read the casting number that would help identify the head. For 8 valve heads there are basically 2 types Turbo and Non-Turbo.
