Does anyone have a temperature gauge from a Montecarlo / Scorpion instrument vehicle that they would be interested in selling?
It must be in working order and in good condition.
Just to add to the nuisance factor I am located in Melbourne, Australia, so the seller will need to be patient for arranging payment and postage/shipping etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would prefer a new unit but believe they are no longer available.
Thanks.

Hello Vinnie,
There is something about the temperature gauge!! We had a discussion on the Montecarlo Consortium Forum about the instrument panels and there seems to be 2 types of temp gauge. http://www.montecarlo.org.uk/discus/messages/1/113.html?1092642495
If you get a complete pod that will plug in ok but if you get a gauge on its own there may be a problem. The problem may simply be that it the needle goes from left tor ight instead of right to left - you may have to change the scale to suit. However, we never got a conclusive verdict on the difference.
My S2 car has the gauge working from left (low) to right (high) which gives the effect that all gauges indicate "danger" when at the right.

Hi Leo,

Thank you for your reply and the link to the Forum.
It seems things are not straight forward, and any potential difference between early models and late models is not just the Series 1 / 2 difference.
I think the instrument binnacle on ebay is more than I really need anyway, particularly now the price is rising.
By the time I get it to Australia and John Howard takes his share it will be a high price to pay just for a faulty temperature gauge.
I think I will expolre my options at getting the current one fixed.
Thank you again.
