My Montecarlo Series 2 engine is currently being re-built after a lengthy period in storage.
The mechanic believes there are two hoses that fit to the small metal pipe that protrudes from the underside of the air filter housing fixed over the carburetor.
The pipe from the housing is only 8mm (1/4 inch) diameter approximatley, whilst one hose is about the same the other is roughly 25mm (1 inch) in diameter.
Can anyone tell me whether there is a union or splitter that fixes the two hoses to the one metal bracket?
If someone could take a digital photo of the correct factory setup i would be most grateful.
Thanks.

Vinnie,
If your carb air filter is the standard one, there should be a fitting for both the large and small hoses underneath the plastic housing fitted to the carb. The large hose comes from the PCV fitting on the back side of the block below the inlet manifold and goes into the housing. The small hose is a vacuum bleed from the base of the carb and usually goes into a small branch pipe off the large one.
If you don't have the S2 Air filter system then you will have to make a fitting for the large hose into the air duct / filter housing.
The small hose provides a suction to draw fumes from the PCV hose into the carb at idle.
