Hello all,
Just discovered that the water valve for the heater matrix on my S2 Montecarlo has no connection to the operating lever. Should it have a linkage to the "quadrant" that is rotated by the hot/cold lever? I believe that S1 cars have a vaccuum operated valve so a bit different (?).
Any info S1 or S2 would be appreciated.

Leo,
have you got a copy of the parts manual? I can scan the relevant parts for you if you'd like? Will have a look at mine tomorrow as well if I remember!!;o)

Hello Darren,
I have a parts manual in pdf but 1) the picture is not very clear and 2) it only shows a vaccuum operated valve. If you can send me a decent picture that would be useful (leocapaldi AT tesco.net)

Hello mate,
Sure you've looked in the consortium, but in case you haven't - check my album - the longest restoration project in the world for some pics - if you need any other shots, let me know!!;o))

Cheers Darren,
Much Appreciated - the linkage looks simple enough and easy to replicate. This is the time of year when the heater gets adjusted most, one day hot next cold sort of thing.

ps - I always check here first :-)

Hmmm I have an S1 with no AC and it is not vacuum operated... But also doesn't work properly. Do you have a diagram of what I should be looking at?
