The window guide fuzzy strip material is the same as some commonly used material found at any auto window glass shop. It requires 8 foot per side and that is how the material is sold. I have the number AS-1198-96 but no manufacturer. Price was $14.00 per length.

I had thought "fuzzy strips" meant the ~2'-long velour strip that runs along the lower-inside edge of the window opening to keep the glass edge from rattling (and chipping!) when it's rolled down. By "8 foot per side", I think you are talking about the velvety-lined, U-section rubber seals that run around the inside of the window frame, yes? Just wanted to clarify that. Frankly, I think my Zag could stand to have both kinds of fuzzy replaced... :o

I was talking about the "U" channel rubber strip with the fuzzy lining. I would think you could queitethings down by a lot by replacing the U channel strip as it is always touching a large section of the edges of the window.

When the window's up, yes, those fuzzy-rubber edge channels pretty much keep it in place and prevent rattling. However, when rolled down the least bit, only the front edge stays in the channel (ideally, at least -- it can fall back out of that channel with the slightest of slack or misalignment, which so far seem unavoidable no matter how often I realign and retighten the window works). When rolled all the way down, the top edge of the glass tends to rest against the top edge of the inner door panel, where it rattles if there isn't any velour fuzzy strip to support and cushion the glass edge there.
