Does anyone know where I can get new plastic for a beta sunroof? I need the lugs and sliders for the panel type sunrooof. Thanks. Jeremy.

Jeremy, I have a extra of the plastic ended straps (bought recently from South Africa) and may be able to help you fabricate the other if need be. As to the plastic sliders, I had a model for one of those and made a couple others using block plastic from a hardware store.

Hi, so do you have a pair of the lugs or cams that position the panel up and down? If so, how much would you like for them? Thanks heaps. Jeremy.

I'm not sure I know how to name the parts. By "cams", I'm guessing you mean the white plastic bits fixed on the round steel rods which run front to back on each side and which pull the roof down or hold it in place (when open) when the hand lever is rotated up. But "lugs"? What broke on mine where the white plastic connectors on the outboard ends of the stainless straps which rotate the rods above, activating the cams. I have an extra of those straps, as I said, and figured out how to fabricate the end of another. I don't have extras of the rods or cams though. The sliders, the plastic bits which slide in the roof of the car, I did make up a couple of those. Are we getting any clearer?

Thanks for your reply, but I think that part of my sunroof is ok. By lugs I meant cams, the plastic parts you refer to as raising or lowering the sunroof, one of mine broke. I guess I could make some sliders myself.
I still might be interested in the straps if they are new, it's probably a good idea to renew as many parts as possible. Can you please let me know how much you would like for them plus postage to Melbourne Australia in $AU if possible.
Thanks again.

Jeremy, I have one new strap for which I paid about $20US. I could make you another one by wleding ends on one of yours, but that doesn't make much sense since you are so far away and yours are apparently ok as is. I just welded a short bit of steel tubing onto the outboard end of the stainless strap to fix mine. You're welcome to the one I have for $20 plus postage, but I wond know what that is until I box it up and go to the PO. Your pleasure.

Thanks Johnny, when you put it that way I may as well stick with mine. Jeremy.
