Distributor - Part number

G'day,

Just wondering if anyone has details on the type/brand of the distributor and the rotor? ....as I may look into getting it converted into electronic ignition. I tried looking at it on the weekend but couldnt find any labels or scribings. Magnelli I think the brand is, but what is the model number?

Oh, it's a 79 model, 2litre engine on carb.

Is it single or dual point and is it block or cam box mounted? I am assuming it is a breaker point type as you are wanting to convert to electronic, but at least some '79s (US spec) did come with factory electronic.

Hi,

There were two types used here in OZ, Marelli or Bosch, sometimes the dizzy cap will have the brand marked on it.

My '79 & '84 coupe has bosch.
