Anyone have a sugggestion for either a vendor or a fabric choice? I am looking for a cover for my coupe. Preferably a decent looking fitted one. I will be parking it outside for the time being and as it is amazingly rust-free for an Italian car of its age and I live near the coast, I would like to keep it covered as much as possible.

I'm resurrecting this topic as I need to get an outdoor cover as well. Hopefully I'll find a garage soon, but until then the Spyder will be sitting outside. I'll hopefully be moving it here on the weekend (from it's current garage miles away), and as it's not waterproof, a cover is necessary. If no-one has any positive recommendations, does anyone have any covers to avoid?
Cheers
Duncan
PS Now it'll be outside my house, hopefully I'll be able to make progress and get it up and running soonish...

For years I used an EVO IV layered cover, made by Kimberly Clark, for the Fiat Spider on our Zagato's and Coupes, (used them on one of our Scorps for a while, but they are very baggy on a Scorpion and will blow off in high winds if not strapped down, they don't come off the Zags and Coupes even not strapped on), I picked them up from Bruce at Bruce's Part's Bin, (except a few I got for a steal off this board), most vendors sell them. It works great for the most part, it will get wet in heavy down pours and melting snow but dries very quickly and keeps the major amount of dirt and moisture out while not trapping it in to cause any problems.
The problem with using the Fiat Spider cover is you HAVE to fold your mirriors in and the fit is tight around the big bumpers so you have to be careful on the last corner of the bumper to make sure you do not tear the fabric stretchng it too far, (BTDT), However, Allen Lofland went to the trouble to have a manufacture measure up his Zag and custom make the cover, they now have the dimensions and you can order an exact fit which you do not have to fold your mirrors in for fit from them. You'll have to contact Allen or look for a previous thread on it, I am pretty sure he posted one here about it about a year or so ago.

I moved the car yesterday, so I got a Tyvek cover from Halfrauds (it was the only place open that had breathable covers). It looks half decent, and it fits OK, so hopefully it will be successful...
I will report back in a couple of months...
