Koni Rear Struts

Greetings,

I have a good pair of totally rebuilt Koni "special D" rear struts with the part #
87-2118 8603 stamped on the strut. According to what Koni North
America tells me these struts will fit on the Beta Coupe '76 to '82
and the HPE Estate '73 to ? Does anyone know if these Konis will fit,
with or without modification, on a Montecarlo or Scorpion? Any information on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a good one.

P.S. I purchased these Konis from a Lancista through the internet more than one year ago and was told by him that they would fit fine on a Montecarlo or Scorpion.

are you sure they are rears hpe and coupe rears are not the same but the fronts are, I would doubt that they would fit a montecarlo. All is not lost though as beta people are always keen to get hold of these so I would guess you would have no problem selling them on at a good price

No, the Beta rears will not fit a Scorpion/Monte. The ones from an X will, but you should crank up the damping a bit... Sadly these are nearly as hard to find as the Monte parts.....

Pretty sure Koni 87-2118 is for an HPE shocker. Coupes/Spider are slightly sorter by an inch or so.

Thank you everyone for the replies and very helpful information. I do in fact have a genuine pair of front Koni D red struts that are curently installed on my Scorpion so I know that these struts in question are not for the front of the car.

At any rate I have an excellent (completely re-conditioned by KONI NA with the reciept) pair of red Koni D rebuilt struts for the rear of an HPE estate wagon or Beta coupe ('76 to '82). Hopefully someone can put these struts to to good use, they are beautiful and include the KONI decal. If anyone is interested in purchasing these Koni strusts please send me a private message.
