Does anyone else have trouble getting any interest out of Fiat dealers when trying to order Lancia parts. On two occasions now, for seperate parts, the parts department bloke at my local Fiat/Alpha franchise dealership has found the part required, quoted a price and then said it will have to be ordered. He then informs me that he'll have to phone me back to let me know the availability and how long it will take to get the parts. So I tell him my phone number and thank him, and that's it. Not a dickie bird. No phone call, no record of the conversation when I chase them up and absolutely no interest whatsoever.

Yet when I phone a non-franchise Lancia parts supplier they usually say "Yep got one of those, it'll be in the post later today or first thing tomorrow". And lo and behold when it arrives it's a brand new part sealed in it's plastic bag in a Fiat/Lancia box.

they vary a lot some are just too plain lazy to try for you I have a dealer locally and another branch of the same dealer about 30 miles away the local dealer is useless the same dealership 30 miles away can't be more helpful they got me a door glass for my delta hpe (sadly now sold) in about 3 days another dealer 35 miles in a different direction is equally helpful. if your dealer says they can't order something for you insist that they can it's best to have a copy of eper on your computer so that you can give them a part number though you can get this on dvd off ebay quite easily
