Hi all, I'm able to participate in more than one category now. I have just become the proud owner of a 71 1.3s, in less than perfect condition. It's been sitting in a shed for ten years and has a few rust holes in and around the place, the left sill isn't too flash and wouldn't support the car on the jack, and the left floor well has a couple of holes, the. The bottom of the l/h door, under the crossbrace above the headlights, around the windscreen.....so far. I'll be stripping it back slowly and I'm going to get it sandblasted and primed then have the rust repairs attacked by the local specialist. All the mechanicals are good though, and all the rubber, brake lines bushes etc look perfect, it's just the steel that hasn't faired so well, at least it's repairable and it won't be going on the scrap heap. It's such a pretty car. Watch this space

I think I know just how you feel, I got my 1972 Fulvia 1.3 (first Lancia) about two months ago and am "slowly" taking it to bits before it gets media blasted, repaired and refreshed and even more slowly put back together, piece by piece. It's amazing how much space that little car takes up while being reduced to its' constituent parts. In addition to some rust in floors and panels, I need to re-install front and rear windshield glass since gaps have allowed water to infiltrate the interior. Good luck! Bobby C

Best of luck
There are some good resources out there on the Web e.g. http://www.viva-lancia.com/fulvia/tassos/index.htm; http://www.viva-lancia.com/fulvia/qanda/index.php etc...
...and of course forums like this.
I learnt a lot and enjoyed my restoration. I hope you'll soon have a car that makes you go ;D !!!

Thanks very much, at least there's not too much that needs replacing, and I have access to a plating shop, media blasting bay and paint shop where I work, which will make things much easier, quicker and cheaper.

Since it sounds like you'll be going for a complete respray at some stage ... out of interest what colour will you be going for? Original or something different?
On this subject I've just cringed at a memory that's come to mind...
I went to a big Lancia meet a couple of years ago with a line of Fulvias parked at one side of the event (not the concours - my car's not that good!). All the Fulvias are red except my car which is silver.
A nice couple walk up and comment on how they like the colour of my car and I say something like "yes, it's a bit different than all these common red ones". Of course their car is the red one parked in front of mine... :-[

I am currently restoring a Fulvia and in the process taking photos which I am putting on a website. I have taken many 100's now so if there is anything you think is useful just ask.

Good luck !
Regarding colour I am going back to the original Metallic Gray (looks like silver)

Thanks, you can never have too many sources of info. I really like the silver, but my VX is silver, I'm leaning towards a really dark blue like this one http://lancisti.net/mkportal/modules/gallery2/index.php?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=26321
With cream leather seats and black carpet. I can get leather cheap through my cousin but only black so might go with that. I'll see about getting some original alloy wheels too, I much prefer them.

The Fulvia 1300 normally had steel wheels. We wouldn't normally suggest using the 6" Cromodoras from the 1600 as they often bring a tyre / wheelarch foul condition. If you can find some 5.5" x 14" Cromodoras from a Flavia 2000 or 2000 Coupe, then they will fit without modifications or any foul problems.
Lancia Blue looks great on all Lancias.

Thanks Andrew, I'll be contacting you sometime in the future for parts probably, and more than likely a set of wheels.
