Hi guys, I've read some of the material with the other post on this topic, but it doesn't seem to apply to my Beta. I have a 78 coupe (rhd) and I've just put an engine in. I bought the car with engine on the way out and the wiring was everywhere. For one I couldn't find the v out wire from the alternator. I mean it's there at the alternator end alond with the brown wire, but I can't see where it comes out of the lume at the battery end. Should there be a third wire for the battery return? Well that's what I've done temporarily.
Secondly, I need help with the ignition swith and or relay. But I guess I should start with the junction box referred to as no.66 ignition switch six outlet juction block. One of the connectors was off (two red wires) which lead to the starter solonoid. I reattached them to the seemingly correct spot with no luck, ie. no power to solonoid on start up. But to confirm, can somebody please give confirmation as to where this connector goes, I've put it on the top left. Anyway I'm starting to think that the problem runs deeper, can someone point me in the right direction. The accesrories seem to work ok, the heater, clock, headlights and dash lights operate. I suppose I could bypass the starter solonoid to test that, but I don't think that would be the problem.
Thanks.
Jeremy.
