Still some minor fixes but the major is done.
After finding the paper towel in the oil galley which ate the rod/main bearings,
I had the crank turned 10/10, the rods squared, new rings (still had the factory hone marks in the cylinders), shaved the block and reworked and ported the head. Put a 40/80 cam on the intake side.

Painted it a couple or weeks ago and then put all the trim back on.

Here are some pictures.

She's running and driving nice and I'm becoming a Beta fan.

Looks great! good job. Are you coming to Detroit to Freakout with it? you'll need real road tags, those farm use tags wont' work on the freeways of Detroit! ha ha

Looks great! And also sounds inspiring to me as my HPE's paintwork is scheduled for April. :)

I won't be making Detroit, wrong time of the year for me and to far from the
ranch. Yea, I'm getting her tagged for longer hauls this week. That was just for her maiden voyage:)

Good looking zag you got there.

Very nice, Robert.

I might argue with "...finished" part, though. It seems we're never really done... :D

Wanna swap that for a nice Zagato? (I think I've decided that I prefer the Coupe.)

Very smart.

(it's also nice seeing it with the the 3-series in the background looking a touch wonky
(but I hope no-one was hurt)

Yea, the 3 series ate it on black ice this winter. I'm parting it out now.

Hey, DJ, don't be tempting me like that.:)
